SEG Solar’s first U.S. factory is nearing completion in Houston, Texas, marking the launch of the company’s domestic manufacturing efforts.
The plant’s production line equipment has been delivered and is now in the final stages of installation. With an annual production capacity exceeding 2GW, it will feature two intelligent manufacturing lines to produce the latest N-type high-efficiency solar modules.
Spanning nearly 250,000 square feet, the facility will house production workshops, raw material warehouses, finished goods warehouses, and administrative offices, in addition to supporting infrastructure.
SEG’s first domestic plant will allow its customers access to faster delivery times and improved after-sales service.
“The Houston plant is a key part of SEG’s strategy to serve the U.S. market,” Jim Wood, CEO of SEG, said in a statement. “Thanks to the strong support from our employees and partners, the construction of SEG’s Houston plant is progressing smoothly. With new workshops, production lines, and equipment, SEG will offer a refreshed experience to the U.S. market.”
