In a move that will advance California’s zero-emission freight initiatives, Forum Mobility has launched its “FM Harbor” electric truck charging depot at the Port of Long Beach.
As the largest port-based facility of its kind, the site supports over 200 electric drayage trucks each day.
At its recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, representatives from the California Air Resources Board and the Port of Long Beach were in attendance, underscoring the harbor’s role in reducing emissions and improving air quality.
According to The EV Report, the FM Harbor depot features 19 dual-port and six single-dispenser 360 kW chargers that enable the simultaneous charging of 44 trucks.
Forum Mobility is offering a Class 8 electric truck leasing program that reduces the upfront costs for truckers while providing affordable charging options.
Amazon Global Mile and Talon Logistics have already secured reservations at the depots; additional depots are currently under development in South-Central Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. The upcoming buildouts will create a cohesive charging ecosystem for freight routes in the region.
