Grid modernization and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology leader Nuvve Holding Corp. has been awarded a contract by the State of New Mexico to provide a turnkey solution to support the state’s ambitious zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) adoption and renewable energy goals.
Nuvve’s history of successful deployments, customer service, and freedom to operate were integral factors in New Mexico’s selection.
The contract’s total accessible market for the state’s fleet electrification and its supporting infrastructure is estimated to be approximately $400 million.
The project’s contract is structured as a Statewide Price Agreement (SWPA) that will facilitate long-term progress across public agencies throughout New Mexico.
The contract will advance New Mexico’s “Vehicles as a Service” (VaaS) program, which supports fleet electrification through turnnkey EV charging solutions; V2G and microgrid development; corridor charging stations; EV leasing and infrastructure financing; and asset transition and management.
“Nuvve continues to lead in deploying real-world, scalable solutions for the benefit of both our customers and the utility grid. We believe this deployment provides New Mexico with best-in-class technology, financing, and implementation strategies while ensuring the state meets its sustainability goals without compromising operational efficiency,” said Ted Smith, President and COO of Nuvve, in a statement.
Nuvve will announce the first project by the end of Q2 2025.
