Finbar Sheehy

Senior Director, Finance & Technology, 8minute Solar Energy
Finbar Sheehy’s career has been at the intersection of technology, finance and strategy. Since joining 8minute Solar Energy in early 2019, Sheehy has been working with the finance and functional groups, focusing on engineering, technology and LCOE/LCOS leadership. Originally an electrical engineer, he served California’s electricity sector as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and then held an operating role in a venture-backed startup. Before making the transition into solar energy, he was a Wall Street analyst at Bernstein Research, covering industrial, aerospace and defense companies. Sheehy received his Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Ireland and his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Caltech. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

David Alonso

Regional Vice President, New Equipment Sales, Mitsubishi Power
David Alonso is Region Vice President, New Equipment Sales for Mitsubishi Power Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Power LTD. Mitsubishi Power leads the industry in power generation and energy storage solutions. Committed to environmental protection and carbon reduction, Mitsubishi Power is at the forefront of green hydrogen and battery energy storage systems. Mr. Alonso is responsible for all aspects of the sales and marketing activities in the Eastern U.S.

Prior to joining Mitsubishi Power Americas, Mr. Alonso served as Region Vice President, Southeast Region for Siemens Power Systems Sales, where he was responsible for account management and product sales including generation equipment and service (fossil, nuclear, and renewable), transmission and distribution, and energy storage solutions for utility, IPP, and EPC customers across a 9 state region. Other key positions Mr. Alonso held while at Siemens include Sales Manager, Service Marketing Integration Manager, and New Unit Marketing Engineer. Mr. Alonso is well versed in electric utility industry trends and has a proven track record in leveraging a portfolio of products to meet customer demands and resolve challenges.

Mr. Alonso holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Florida. He and his wife live in Peachtree City, Georgia with their two sons and daughter.

Janice Lin

Founder and President of the Green Hydrogen Coalition and the Founder and CEO of Strategen
Janice Lin is the Founder and President of the Green Hydrogen Coalition and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategen. She brings more than two decades of experience in clean energy strategy, market development, and corporate strategy to Strategen. During this time, she has advised a diverse range of clients including renewable energy equipment manufacturers and service providers, large corporations diversifying into clean energy, and real estate developers building sustainable communities.

In 2009 Janice co-founded the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA), and served as its Executive Director until 2019. Janice has also served on the Electricity Advisory Council of the US Department of Energy, the Board of Advisors for the Energy Policy Initiatives Center (EPIC) and the Energy Storage Committee of Joint Venture Silicon Valley. Janice is also a Member of the Advisory Council of the German American Chamber of Commerce, the UCSD Strategic Energy Initiatives Advisory Council, and Co-Founder and Chair of the annual Energy Storage North America (ESNA) conference.

Janice holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a BS from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences. She is the winner of ESA’s 2013 Phil Symons Energy Storage Award, and NAATBATT’s 2014 Market Development Award and Cleanie 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
