Amira Streeter brings a wealth of expertise in government policy, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, and community engagement to today’s panel. As the Senior Government Affairs and Community Engagement Manager for Voltera, an electric vehicle infrastructure company serving diverse fleets, she plays a pivotal role in advancing EV infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of both the public and private sectors. With a J.D. and Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis & Clark’s Northwestern School of Law and a degree in environmental science from Skidmore College, Amira combines her legal and scientific knowledge to shape policies that promote sustainable transportation.
Amira’s policy experience spans climate change, energy infrastructure, transportation electrification, sustainability, and environmental justice. Prior to her role at Voltera, she facilitated conflict resolution for government agencies on complex infrastructure and energy projects. She has also been a policy advisor for key political figures and elected officials where she helped shape transportation and energy policies.
In addition to her work in EV infrastructure, Amira is an advocate for environmental and social justice and has focused on championing equitable access to sustainable solutions. Her contributions were recognized in 2020 when she received the Women of Achievement Award from the Oregon Commission for Women for her work in environmental justice. She remains committed to ensuring that electric vehicle infrastructure is inclusive, accessible, and designed to benefit all communities.
